Leadership for tomorrow through learning today

Intermediate Leadership Conference/Camp

Intermediate Leadership Camp

From May 24th – 26th, 20 members ages 13 – 15 spent a weekend camping at Tamaracouta Scout Reserve, Mille Isles, QC.  5 volunteers helped 2 staff members to chaperone and facilitate the event.  6 clubs were represented.  Despite the cool weather, campers enjoyed activities like rock climbing, archery, low ropes, fire building, and gardening. 4-H’ers took turns at executive roles during mini-meetings during which they also practiced important treasury skills such as writing cheques, voted on team names, and discussed how to promote 4-H.

“We all had a blast doing all the activities that ILC had to offer us even if the weather didn’t allow us to do some of them. The activities that we participated in include rock climbing, archery, fire building and more. Even if the rain stopped us from doing kayaking, we didn’t let it discourage us.”

-Chris Nieuwenhof, Huntingdon 4-H Club
